Nolan is a modern nomad, with a wealth of experience in somatic awareness. A Julliard graduate and former leading member of the Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, he loves to maintain a physical lifestyle and enjoys expanding his knowledge of the body and applying that knowledge in his work with clients. At Juilliard, he studied anatomy and physiology, all forms of dance and movement, and various mind-body awareness modalities, such as the Alexander Technique, the Feldenkrais Method, and the Franklin Method. Nolan worked at StretchLab locations in Denver and Boulder before further developing his skills by pursuing a deeper understanding of working effectively with diverse body types at the Dr. Ida Rolf Institute. He has worked with clients who are affected by myopathy/neuropathy, spastic paraplegia, cerebral palsy, glioblastoma, multiple sclerosis, severe cases of arthritis and scoliosis, piriformis syndrome, and frozen shoulder, among other conditions, and has worked with many professional and college-level athletes. He has been a yoga practitioner for over 20 years, has completed a yoga teacher training, and regularly practices meditation and breathwork.
Therapeutic Massage
In our signature massage sessions, our therapists use a combination of many healing modalities, blending a variety of techniques to alleviate pain and tension. Sessions are customized according to what the client needs and wants to accomplish. With techniques such as myofascial release, deep tissue, and trigger point therapy, we can work out the deeper long lasting knots in the body that limit range of motion or cause discomfort in daily life.

Shadé and Nolan also offer prenatal massage.

01.
Sports Therapy works to combine several modalities to target specific pain patterns and kinetic chains to improve function and relieve pain.
02.
The philosophy behind this modality is to gradually work the muscle from superficial to deep. Using compression to first warm up the skin and facia, then as I palpate tension and knots in the layers of muscle, I can massage out the painful adhesions.
Amenities & Tools:
Any of the following amenities can be added to your signature massage for free!
01
Hydrocollator
The hydrocollator packs are canvas packs filled with clay which rest in a hot water tank. The packs are wrapped in a towel and placed on the chosen muscles to add heat, making it easier to release knots and bring increased blood flow to avascular tissues such as tendons and ligaments. The heat deeply penetrates the tissue and primes the muscle for longer lasting bodywork.
02
Cupping
Cupping is a great tool for pulling the tissue apart and relieving adhesions in fascia, skin, and muscle tissue. This process increases blood flow allowing for the release of knots and quicker muscle recovery after a workout.
